A Bunch of Writing Books I Just Bought

Hi friends,

Maybe you saw this thread on Twitter last week, where I innocently asked what your favorite books on writing and publishing were, and commenters replied with dozens and dozens and dozens of good suggestions!1 I honestly don’t think I’ve had such a popular tweet in YEARS. I’m glad this one was about books! (I DO NOT PAY FOR TWITTER. SEE BELOW.)

We will ignore those who did not read the tweet and added in On Writing or Bird by Bird because those are GOAT writing books. I learned about SO MANY other good ones new to me, so I added many to my bookshop.org cart and painstakingly weeded it down to a reasonable (“reasonable”) number of books I could justify buying. (Of course, though, I had to buy enough to get the tote bag they were giving away as Prime Day counter programming!)
