How to Stop Worrying That You're Bothering Everyone
no worries if not

Hey Friends,
Busy week here at Morhaim HQ, and I can’t wait tell you about the projects that have been causing that busyness! But, in the meantime, I want to talk about something I’ve been chewing on for a while (maybe all my life? so says my therapist). I’ve gained some insights recently and I’m happy to report that
You’re not bothering anyone.
I know! It’s a relief! Here are some of the instances where I can guarantee you are not bothering anyone:
When you ask your agent/editor/smart friend a question.
When you post about your book or upcoming project.
When you post good news. (Yes, even these days. We need the good news too!)
When you speak up for something you need.
When you kindly alert someone that they’ve made a mistake or gotten something wrong that directly affects you/your work/your personhood.1
When you send a query.
When you follow up on a query.
When you follow up on a submission.
When you follow up on a contract.
When you send an article pitch or a story submission.
When you go to a reading or literary event.
When you ask your readers to review your book on the retailer sites.
When you remind your readers to preorder your book.
When you post a review of another book, even if you think not that many people are reading your posts.
When you dare to breathe air in the same vicinity as someone who might maybe one day have anything remotely to do with something you wrote or might write in the future.
