D asks: Here's a question (probably best filed under: be patient, grasshopper) but... how long before a manuscript is considered "dead on sub"? First novel is out on sub now and weirdly, it hasn't been acquired by a zillion celeb reading groups or optioned by Meryl Witherspoon Kidman and etc etc. Thus am in the slough of despair. Which is apparently where we writers spend a great deal of time.
