I've had a very productive week, and hope you have, too. Even if that productivity was in the nap department or in the ignoring the dishes department. Good job! Now, let's answer some questions.

A asks: What is it about rhyming picture books that agents and editors don’t find compelling anymore? I know that some rhyming picture books are still published, but in my preliminary research for an agent, it appears that so many explicitly do not want to read any rhyming picture book manuscripts.

Now that I think about it, I've never had a discussion with an editor, or an agent, about why they specifically don't like rhyming picture books. They just either do or they don't and both opinions make sense to me.
