Q&A Thursday: Second Time Around Edition
Dear Friends,
✍️
Keep your eyes peeled for a special announcement of a fun takeover I'm doing! You could even win a prize!!!
Happy Q&A Thursday! I wish I had all the answers but unfortunately, I only have ones about publishing. Let's forge ahead regardless:
P asks: How does publishing a debut memoir with a Reputable (a la Jane Friedman and other trustworthies) Hybrid Press affect one's chances of getting represented by an agent in pursuit of a traditional publishing book deal for the next book?
When I see that a potential client has published a book before (any book, self, hybrid, or trad) this is my first thought: Neat! My second thought is: how well did it sell? If it was trad published, I will look it up on Bookscan and see what that tells
